RISC User Series

Articles by Richard Hallas

Devoting an entire index to one's own work is likely to seem terribly egocentric, but there's a very good reason for this index being here! It is that these articles represent a significant number of RISC OS-format backups which would not otherwise be available in a useful form. Most of the earlier articles (those in issues prior to 8:2) are available in the QuarkXPress file archives, but the articles published in issues 7:2 to 7:6 do not exist elsewhere (as all the backups for those issues have been lost), and none of the articles from issues before 8:2 can be accessed on RISC OS systems.

This section, therefore, is in addition to the main magazine archive, and its contents are not duplicated elsewhere on the CD. Even for the 'overlap' issues (8:2 to 8:10), the versions of the articles presented here are the pre-edited ones; the versions in the main archive are as printed. Indeed, several of the articles listed here are slightly longer than the versions that were published. These archives also contain a number of unused screenshots and other items.

Articles written by Richard Hallas from issue 9:1 onwards are available in their final, edited form in the main magazine archives.
